The holy month of Ramadan has just started and it is important to stay hydrated. We wanted to share some tips for your body to stay healthy while fasting. It is indeed particularly hard on the body during long and hot days. To stay healthy and prevent dehydration during this period, it is very important to drink plenty of fluids. The body is made of 60 to 70 percent of water, so it plays an important role in the vital performance of the body system and organs.
The best option remains of course water, which is an absolute essential for your body! Nevertheless, you can combine it with fresh juices, soups and some kind of teas.
Not all teas are adapted for the fasting period and it is important to drink the right teas. You may think caffeine will help you stay focus and not be tired but that’s the opposite! You should avoid drinks with high concentration of caffeine such as coffee or black tea because they actually can increase fluid loss. A good option is to go for lemon, ginger, green teas and especially herbal teas that will help you avoid dehydration during the day.
Gather your friends and family for iftar and share some enjoyable moments around healthy food and a warm cup of tea. You can choose from our Namastea selection some well-adapted blends such as Sweet Dreams, Lime Punch or Go Green.
